‘Life Through Pink Glasses‘, by Flavia Birsan, is a study of contrast and emotional presence — an exploration of how brightness and fragility coexist within a single surface. Built through multiple layers, this work juxtaposes neon-toned bands with softer, time-worn whites and quiet neutrals, creating a visual rhythm between impulse and calm.

In the process of painting, moments of stillness alternate with expressive, free gestures, allowing movement and restraint to co-exist. These marks, softened and scumbled over time, reveal traces of what was there before — a visual memory of both reveal and conceal.
