‘Loves Me, Loves Me Not’ is inspired by a childhood ritual — plucking flower petals while repeating the same question, caught between hope and uncertainty. The painting developed slowly, through layered surfaces, pauses and moments of restraint, echoing that familiar back-and-forth rhythm. It carries a sense of nostalgia and play, but also a quieter reflection on how early emotions stay with us, how doubt and tenderness often coexist. Rather than offering an answer, the work holds space for memory, softness and the beauty of not knowing.
