‘Meet Me in SoHo’ explores the tension between bold presence and quiet history. Built around a luminous field of fluorescent pink, the composition unfolds through layers of olive greens, warm yellows, soft whites and charcoal accents. Transparent veils, erased passages and handwritten gestures reveal traces of earlier decisions, allowing time to remain visible within the surface.

The painting evokes the feeling of a city rather than its appearance. Weathered textures, overlapping marks and shifting color relationships suggest places where history and reinvention coexist. Like walls that have been painted, covered and rediscovered over decades, the surface carries fragments of what came before while remaining firmly rooted in the present.
